Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman Digital University (BDU) Vice-chancellor Professor Dr Munaz Ahmed Noor has said that the country’s first digital university is relentlessly working for building a digital technology-based developed and prosperous Bangladesh from the beginning of its establishment.
He came up with the statement while addressing a webinar titled ‘Role of BDU in Building Developed and Prosperous Bangladesh by 2041 through Digitalisation’ on the occasion of 100th Birth anniversary of father of the nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and Victory Day 2020 on Thursday, said a press release.
“Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina and her ICT adviser Sajib Wajed Joy have established the university to build a sustainable Digital Bangladesh by 2041 ensuring utmost use of ICT,” he said.“BDU has started its journey launching two programmes—Internet of Things and ICT in Education—which are the main instruments for the 4th industrial revolution. Another programme titled ‘Data Analysis and Management’ is under process to be launched,” he added.
Among others, Registrar (additional charge) Md. Ashraf Uddin, Senior System Analyst Muhammad Shahinul Kabir, Professor Md Akhteruzzaman, Assistant professor Md Ashrafuzzaman, Programmer Anit Kumar Roy and other officers and employees of the university were also present in the webinar.
