Nine people died of coronavirus infections in the last 24 hours, Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) said today.
The death toll now stands at 110, Prof Dr Nasima Sultana, additional director general (administration) of the DGHS said during a briefing.
Four hundred and thirty-four have tested positive for Covid-19 in the last 24 hours. With this, the total number of infected has reached 3,382.
A total of 2,974 samples were tested across the country since yesterday, which is seven percent more than the previous day, Dr Nasima said.
Among the nine deceased, five were male and four female.
Age-wise, three of the deceased were above 60, three 51-60 and three between 40-50.
Meanwhile, two more made recovery from the disease taking the recovery toll to 87.
Eighty-nine people were put under isolation in the last 24 hours across the country, she added.
