The government has ordered all its officials and employees in the field-level offices to remain present at their respective duty stations so that they can respond and provide emergency support as necessary amid the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.
The Cabinet Division issued a notification in this regard signed by it’s Deputy Secretary (DS) Mohammad Aminul Islam Khan yesterday.
The government issued the directive to its employees at a time when the number of COVID-19 infected people and deaths are gradually increasing in the country, which has also resulted widespread lockdown in many western countries.
“The officials and employees of government offices in the fiedd like the offices of the divisional commissioner, district and upazila levels have to be present at their duty stations concerned for providing required support to face any emergency situation against the coronavirus if needed,” the order says.
