Bangladesh Institute of Nuclear Agriculture (BINA) and its chief scientific officer Dr. Shamsun Nahar Begum won the award of the United Nations International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA).
This information was given in a press release from the Ministry of Agriculture on Monday (August 2).
It is said that the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) has received the Outstanding Achievement Award from the Bangladesh Institute of Nuclear Agriculture (BINA) and its Chief Scientific Officer Dr. Shamsun Nahar Begum received the ‘Women in Plant Mutation Breeding Award’.
The plant has received this award for its contribution to mutation breeding and related biotechnology. The award will be officially presented at the IAEA General Assembly next September.
