Another person has died in Bangladesh after testing positive for Covid-19, taking the total death toll to five, said the Institute of Epidemiology, Disease Control and Research (IEDCR).
IEDCR Director Prof Meerjady Sabrina Flora revealed the latest coronavirus figures at a press briefing through online on Wednesday.
The deceased was aged around 65 years and was suffering from diabetes. The man was a family member of a foreign-returnee, the director said while brefing the press via online.
So far, Bangladesh has reported 39 cases where people have been diagnosed with Covid-19.
However, no new coronavirus case was detected in the last 24 hours.
Besides, two more patients have recovered from the disease.
Meanwhile, the death toll from the coronavirus has reached 18,895 globally as of Wednesday.
